wow i just relised that tommorow is actually the last day of school . this year has flown by !!!, ive learnt and experienced so much . some good some bad , ive met so many amazing people and so many total nobs ! but at the end of the day its one year until we all graduate thank god. anyway the point of this blog was to talk about summer !! yeyy :). well the plan is to go camping with some friends , and go and see a few gigs ect . the only downside is the weather -_- which is totally typically english cold wet rain but im sure we can just put a good hilight on it :) so just going to put a few pics on of last year and then i will update :) and remember yolo ;)  x

OLD MUSIC IS NEW MUSIC - the vinyl days

I wont lie to you ,  i enjoy the new releases sometimes , bands like paramore with  songs like my heart , have it in the bag , they have the heart , they have the soul , they have the power and they have the music. (they also have a fit lead guitarist but i wont go into that) .

But just think about it , most of the songs that come out are just rip offs from the "old" music. Such as Alyssa reid and her single alone again which is actually origionaly with riffs and lyrics from band heart . Teenage dirtbag and dirty little secret are both songs that were relesed years and years ago but have "current" artists singing them such as girls aloud and avril lavinge.

So this must mean that the old music is some of the better , right ? I mean artists like jessie j , one direction , jls and even justin bieber have to use auto tune to sort out their voices. So when auto tune came out in 1997  it  meant that almost anyone could sing within reason. So this means that bands , artists and singers before this date must have had a decent honest voice without any of this auto tune crap.

So bands like Nirvana , rancid , and operation ivy had it in the bag when they produced their music. :)

You know what really gets to me ....

It really bugs me when people judge other people on their music taste or what tv programmes or films they may like.Even their sense of dress.

I love The Slayers , Edward Scissorhands and Harry Potter , and most of my closest friends can’t stand them ; but they didn’t just abandon me, did they.

I don’t like Justin Bieber, One Direction and The Wanted and all that pop bubbly music , but some of the best people you’ll ever know and are inspired by are interested in different stuff to you, so why push them away just because of that fact.

I may go out in a zombie tshirt with blue hair and i may be attracted to lads who wear skinney jeans and tribley hats but thats just me . One of my closest friends goes out in "trackies" all the time and she goes for the broad sholderd rugby players but i arent going to disown her just because of that,  shes one of the most lovleyist people ive met.

So just because you might not be the spitting image of your best friend , your mum , your dad , your sisters or your brothers , doesnt mean you have to change for anyone .

MARK TREMONTI SOLO ALBUM !!

Mark tremonti's  (the lead guitarist in bands Alter bridge and Creed ) solo album is awesome. I like the way the vocals sound with his new single (“You Waste Your Time”). Fresh, and the guitars are heavy, which is a HUGE plus. The music you hear in the charts presently is brainless blubber and just a lot of people who cant sing and use electronics to "tune" their voices. I belive this album however will has alot of heart and i have to suggest that you all go out and buy it or order it !

BLACK STONE CHERRY aren't copying !!

I’ve read countless magazines and blogs saying how BSC are copying nickelbacks new album. The main point to this is BSC’s album was released before nickelbacks was even publicised! and then just a small point, Chad has the same Hair style as Chris now? Chris had it first agian! Don’t get me wrong i kind of worship nickelback but i hate when people attack black stone cherry  … get a life and stop making bad press!

What a artist must feel (why do we listen to music)

Some people listen to music just because everyone else is ,because they enjoy the buzz ,because they think its "in". Then you have some people who listen to music because its something that they can relate to , something that when they listen to its lyrics they can say "that reminds me of ...". Some people reveal their inner souls when they put a decent piece on and can explore everything they never knew about themselfs.It can also help people through stuff when something bad happens.

I thought as a starter music is the perfect first blog because i honestly dont know where i'd be without it .I listen to my ipod day and night , in the bath sometimes , before i go to sleep when im just laying in bed , everywhere. People who make music dont just do it for the sake of it or because they are bored.They do it because its something they love to do ! I can write from personal experience from playing the guitar and piano from a younger age, it can help you escape to anywhere you feel like .

When you walk into a gig or concert or whichever name you tag it as , the atmorsphere is usually eletric and tense because people are so excited about what songs going to kickstart the gig off , there are people wearing theyre newly purchased fan murchandice (usuallyoverpriced) and when the drummer , lead guitarist or whichever one starts to play and the lyics are sung it must be a amazing blood pulse going through the band or artists face knowing that the crowd ,who are belting out the songs lyrics at the top of their voices , actually care and love what they hear and usually by the end of the evening are left wanting more.

So the next time you turn your ipod on and skip to tracks from anything to black stone cherry to jessie j to dubsteb , just honestly think about why your doing it !
